Is there a Singapore Digital Marketing Grant for SME Businesses? (Updated 2026)

With the push for digital transformation, we explore the availability of a Singapore digital marketing grant for SME businesses and clarify any online misinformation.

Accelerated by rapidly evolving technology and changing global market demands, modern industries have fundamentally transformed how companies generate leads, engage audiences, and drive online sales.

For many businesses looking to adapt, securing the necessary internal expertise or specialised digital tools remains a significant investment barrier. Government co-funding through options like the consolidated EDGE Grant (which supersedes legacy schemes like the PSG, MRA, and EDG as of late 2026) helps defray eligible implementation costs, providing a key catalyst for companies transitioning to digital-first business models.

However, it is vital to remember that the spirit of government grant funding is to propel viable businesses forward; it is not designed as a safety net or short-term relief for companies facing acute financial distress.

Businesses requiring working capital assistance or liquidity support should explore dedicated financing routes, such as the Enterprise Financing Scheme (EFS), rather than relying on enterprise development or digital transformation grants.

Singapore Digital Marketing Grants 2026

HOW SINGAPORE DIGITAL MARKETING GRANTS HAVE CHANGED IN 2026

Prior to 29 September 2026, Singaporean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) relied on three primary funding schemes to scale their business, branding, and marketing efforts:

  • Enterprise Development Grant (EDG): The cornerstone funding programme designed to build core business capabilities, revamp branding, and strengthen marketing strategies.

  • Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) Grant: Dedicated funding targeting international expansion, offsetting costs for overseas market entry and global promotional campaigns.

  • Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG): Financial support offering up to 50% co-funding for adopting pre-approved software, including key digital marketing automation tools.

The New SME Grant Framework: Introducing the EDGE Grant

Effective 29 September 2026, Enterprise Singapore streamlined these legacy funding schemes into a single unified framework: the EDGE Grant.

By consolidating EDG, MRA, and PSG, the EDGE Grant simplifies access to government funding. It spans 8 core business pillars and over 150 eligible activities, offering comprehensive support whether you want to automate workflows, integrate digital tools, launch international ventures, or drive sustainable business growth.
