ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EDGE GRANT
The grant funds up to 50% of qualifying project costs for Business Strategic Planning projects and up to 70% of qualifying project costs for International Branding projects.
To qualify for the EDGE Singapore grant, your business must:
- Be registered and operating in Singapore. EDGE is open to Sole Proprietors, Limited Liability Partnerships and Pte Ltd companies.
- Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding.
- Have less than 200 employees OR have less than SGD100 million annual turnover. Ideally, with a minimum SGD500,000 turnover.
- Not be a start-up. You should ideally be operating for at least 2 to 3 years.
- Has business activity and preferably growth in the last few years.
- Projection of new jobs created, overall and Singaporeans only, with gross monthly salary above S$5,000, for 1 year after project completion
- Be in a financially viable position to start and complete the project. (The EDGE Grant works on a reimbursement basis and is not an upfront grant.)
*While there is no official minimum employee headcount required for your business, you must demonstrate a clear path toward generating positive employment outcomes for Singaporean workers as described above.
Applications will be assessed by Enterprise Singapore based on project scope, project outcomes and competency of service provider.

Yes, subject to meeting certain conditions. The business should be operating with some track record, have plans for growth, and ideally show contributions to worker outcomes (e.g. staff training, salary increases).
Having fewer employees may not disqualify you, but more robust applications often come from businesses with evidence of growth.
“Worker outcomes” refer to measures such as increasing the number of employees, raising salaries of existing staff, or providing training/skills upgrading. These show that the project has a broader impact, not just on profits but on workforce development. EDGE requires these as part of the evaluation criteria.
Specifically, the EDGE Grant requires the projection of new jobs created, overall and Singaporeans only, with gross monthly salary above S$5,000, for 1 year after project completion.
From submission to approval, the process typically takes 8-12 weeks or more, depending on the completeness of documentation and complexity of the project.
The EDGE Grant only supports international branding projects and not branding projects for just the local Singapore market.
