He is a certified management consultant (TR 43:2015), an American Marketing Association Professional Certified Marketer (PCM®) in marketing management as well as a certified digital marketing strategist (SSG-WSQ accredited) with 11 years of experience specializing in search engine optimization, content marketing and analytics.
J C’s consulting focus includes strategic marketing, positioning & branding, digital marketing strategy and digital marketing implementation such as inbound marketing and outbound marketing, SEO, content marketing, marketing funnels, PPC advertising and SEM.
J C is the author of “Evolve, Adapt or Collapse: Bottom Line Driven Marketing in a Digitally Evolving World” and the creator of several digital courses including “Strategy Before Tactics”, a foundational digital marketing course. He holds a Bachelors of Arts from National University of Singapore.

Prior to being a full-time management consultant, J C Sum amassed 20 years of experience in international entertainment & event marketing and project management in the Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Europe. He led the marketing (offline/ online) for numerous national-level and corporate event projects & campaigns.
His years spent around the world (34 countries on 4 continents) working with different marketing, PR and media production teams has also given him an in-depth understanding and hands-on experience in branding and promotion for different markets and for a wide variety of industries.
