The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) can be used to improve the traditional or digital marketing or branding of your business in Singapore. It can be used to support a marketing project that can help your company better capture target audiences and markets by differentiating your brand, and your products and services.
The good news is that Enterprise Singapore recently announced that it will enhance and extend the EDG to 80% funding support of project costs, as part of its continued efforts to support companies recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. (Channel News Asia, 12 Oct 2020).
Does Your Company Qualify for the EDG?
Companies have to meet several eligibility requirements before applying for the EDG. Some basic requirements include:
- A Sole Proprietorship, LLP or Pte Ltd Company with at least 30% local (Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident) shareholding.
- In operation for at least 1 year with regular business activity and, ideally, growth.
- Annual sales turnover of no less than S$100,000, and not more than S$100 million.
- Employment size of no less than 3 employees, and not more than 200 employees.
